The 25th annual Georgia Southern Fall 2016 Commencement Ceremony represented a momentous day as approximately 1,700 of Georgia's best and brightest undergraduate and graduate students received degrees from the University's eight colleges. The Honors Program is designed for intellectually talented and motivated students, who benefit from small sections of core curriculum classes, lunch and dinner seminars, book discussions, and other academic and cultural events. This intellectually challenging and rewarding academic experience allows students to stretch their minds, craft unique records of experience and accomplishment, and achieve their longer-term academic and professional goals. For the program, students must maintain a 3.30 or higher institutional GPA, complete at least 18 hours of Honors course credit to graduate with Honors and remain in good standing with the program and be a member of Eta Sigma Alpha (the Honors Student Association).
